The terminology given by US thinktanks to ISIS nowadays is "daesh", as they think to call them as a "State" gives them a sort of authorisation. ISIS has grown strong, but after the "intervention" of Russia by helping out Assad regime,Putin has given the much needed morale boost to Assad and his close associates.The war by ISIS and on ISIS is a complex big political drama with some of the sides directly helping these so called mercenaries group.One must note that,at ground level,situation is way different in east Syria and west Iraq as there are so many mercanery groups roaming freely and switching allegiance depending on who pays them more:Thanks to the Obama's inaction.
ISIS and other associated mercenary groups, are being mainly provided help by Saudis,UAE,Qatar,Jordan and now Turkey too and US and Israel is helping their cause by turning a blind eye towards these groups.On the other hand, Syria,Iraq and Assad family are being helped by Russia,so as to save their strategic interests in the region and also to counter any efforts of Saudis to lay the pipeline to Europe as it can damage the Russia's crude market.US has behaved in a stoic way,and it seems like they wanted to pull the same kind of stunt as they did in Libya and earlier Iraq by changing the puppets who no longer serves to him.Even when it comes to sanctions US proactively puts them on countries like Iran,Russia and even though it already knows that ISIS is directly helped by Countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey.
They are even buying the crude from ISIS to help them raise the capital.
It seems that for Obama administration,this war is all about keeping its interest safe at all cost,even if turning a blind-eye towards the ongoing nexus between the ISIS and Saudi led group, and no one is even talking about sanctions over these countries!These countries are basically the supporters of the ISIS.This strategy of Obama administration can backfire in coming days and may have dire consequences.We have already seen that China and Russia are behaving in such a way as if US doesn't even exist and the current scenario,whether in the middle-east or, even in south-china sea is giving rise to factionalism at international level with no single authority.This has created confusion among the poilcy-makers as the dynamics of geo-politics are ever changing.In the name of democracy and liberalisation, US and its associates has killed the innocent denizens. One must remember,middle-east was doing relatively good even without democracy and all those secular ideals.
